How it started
A while back, Gary Baath was getting an oil change and asked his mechanic a simple question: do you ever reach out to customers to remind them they're due for service?
The mechanic said no.
It had been over six months since Gary's last tune-up — not because he didn't care about his car, but because life gets busy and nobody followed up. That moment made something click. Mechanics are skilled tradespeople running demanding businesses. They don't have time to manage customer relationships on top of everything else. But every missed follow-up, every unanswered call, every customer who quietly drifts to a competitor — that's real revenue walking out the door.
The average auto shop misses 30–40% of incoming calls during busy hours. Most of those callers never call back. ClientSync Systems was built to close that gap — automatically, affordably, and without adding work to anyone's plate.
Who is Gary Baath
Gary immigrated to Canada on his own at 18 to pursue post-secondary education. Over the years he built a background spanning technology, mathematics, and business. Today he is completing his second and final year as an MRI Technologist, working directly with patients in a clinical setting.
That combination — healthcare precision, a love of problem-solving, and a genuine interest in helping people — shapes how ClientSync is built. Every automation is designed to be reliable, simple for a busy shop owner to benefit from, and effective enough to actually move the needle on revenue.
Gary understands what it means to be busy, to be responsible for other people, and to need systems that just work. That's what he builds for his clients.
Why small businesses
Small and medium businesses are the backbone of BC's economy. They're run by people who are experts at their trade — not marketing, not technology, not customer retention systems. ClientSync fills that gap by handling the communication layer that most small businesses don't have the time or resources to manage themselves.
We are starting with auto repair shops because that's where we saw the clearest problem. But the vision is bigger — to bring the same done-for-you automation to service businesses across BC, helping each one keep more of the customers they've already earned.
